THE DECOR OF THE FUTURE
A collaboration with the historic Torricelli–Ballardini Art High School for Ceramics in Faenza
We wish to dedicate the first newsletter of the year to the “Decor of the Future” project, in which we asked young students to reinterpret decoration on ceramic tiles. This project, which which has involved and enthralled us during the year just ended, was born from a collaboration with the historic Torricelli–Ballardini Art High School for Ceramics in Faenza, together with some teachers, the coordinator Viola Emaldi and, in particular, the third-year classes, with whom we embarked on this adventure. The journey began with a company visit, designed to give students an up-close look at our production facility and allow them to experience our materials and manufacturing processes firsthand. Following the visit, the students developed their own personal interpretation of the concept of “decoration,” applying it to one of the sizes available in our Atelier Creativo catalog. For many years, Ceramica Senio has supported the Art High School with the goal of investing in young people and their talent—nurturing creativity, experimentation, and a practical dialogue between education and the ceramic industry. For us, this project is a tangible example of how collaboration between schools and businesses can generate value, fresh ideas, and an authentic vision for the future of ceramics. We would like to thank the students and teachers for their enthusiasm, commitment, and the high quality of the work produced. We are certain that initiatives like this are essential for cultivating the professionals of tomorrow.
